A Theoretical Study of the Israk and the Mikraj

This special event commences and takes part on a specific day that is the 27th day of the renowned month of Rejab, which is basically in English known as “the seventh month, which is in full accordance to the seventh number month of each year.

The birth of Israk and Mikraj

The name given to the festival that is, Israk and Mikraj, initiates from the life of Buddha, specially noting the journey followed by or walked by this one of the greatest man, Buddha. Further are given the individual meaning of Israk and Mikraj.

  • Israk: this is marked to be the initial part of the start of the journey. The initial meaning of this day is the mark of how Buddha started his journey. It is only said to be decided that the prophet Mohammad, was taken to the peak of the mountain that is the Mecca which is located in the city of Jerusalem. Later, it was Gabriel, who informed Mohammad, that he chose a natural instinct, after he was given a choice of milk to choose from and he had made his choice.

 

  • Mikraj: this is known to be the later part of the journey or the second part of the journey. In this journey, he had ridden to Buraq and thus by doing so, he had a ride through the seven different stages present in heaven and also got a chance to talk to renowned people like John the Baptist, Abraham, Moses and Jesus.

It was at this stage that the order of praying 50 times a day was given by Allah and said that Muslims are to abide by this. But, due to Moses consultancy on the difficulty of people going through that, it was reduced to being prayers 5 times in a day.

The traditions and the celebration of Israk and Mikraj

The tradition of celebrating this day is still abiding by the rules of lilting up the city. The use of simply a candle and also some electric lights, are enough to build the city with lights. At last, prayers are recited at the mosques, where a very important article, based on the story of Israk, is been ready from the holy book of Muslims, the Quran.

This festival is not only celebrated with great and joy, but this day is marked as one of those biggest and best days of your month according the calendar of is Islamic.
